Edinburgh is one of my beloved cities. I don’t really know why I am so into this beautiful place. I guess it’s because of the breathtaking nature and of course because of the people that are friendly and welcoming. I had been in Edinburgh last Easter and I had the chance to visit also Glasgow and Inverness (The Capital of Highlands). This time I had the whole travel time to spend it in Edinburgh so I discovered more about this city. So if you visit Edinburgh you definitely need to try their traditional brunch at Kilimanjaro Cafe! If you are more into English breakfast try Loudons that is really great but the prices are a bit higher. Some other good places to drink coffee is Brew Lab and Lovecrumbs where you can find cakes, bakery and quality coffee. If you want to see more of the local culture you should go to Black Medicine for coffee and Brass Monkey for a drink. For drinks I prefer “Bramble” which is a bar with amazing cocktails and “Sandy Bell’s” where you can listen to live traditional Scottish music. The best places for shopping is of course Princes street and George street but there are also plenty of charity and vintage shops all over Edinburgh’s small streets. Also you should definitely walk on Leith River, Stockbridge, Victoria street and Royal Mile. Calton Hill is another must see. Make sure you are well-dressed because it gets really windy.
